Two episodes is all it took for me to lose my patience with this show.
As a "bleeding-heart liberal" (which I'm not, but bigots would refer to me as such - I'm anti-theist and a misanthrope) the characters in this show are too stupid to still be alive 20 minutes into Episode 2.
**\[SPOILERS AHEAD\]**
1. The child goes running off into the woods after a "strange" animal cry, by himself, and triggers a trap. Unfortunately it wasn't a people-killing trap. Usually I can tolerate children doing stupid things in shows and movies, because they're kids, right? But, when all of the adults are also doing stupid shit, it becomes... too much.
2. Two morons try to hide their "revived" and disturbed elderly parent (I assume she's the parent of at least one of them). She goes on a rampage after being discovered by the sheriff's daughter, killing one of them, injuring the other, and almost killing the sheriff's daughter and her sister before she has her noggin' sliced off.
1. Not one person asks whether this woman was known to have dementia, which could explain her violent outburst.
2. They leave her corpse alone in a room, with an officer standing outside the closed door with his back towards it. The episode is paused and I'm not sure I want to un-pause it, but I'm trying to understand if everyone is aware that the "revived" are able to heal wounds, or if only the sheriff's daughter knows, and if so, since she's law enforcement, why she apparently didn't tell anyone. Of course, the "revived" elderly grows back the top of her brain and her scalp, and then goes on a rampage in the hospital, killing multiple people, including the officer who was standing guard.
3. After the above happened, the mayor still doesn't want to let the sheriff round up all these "revived" people. "And if Arlene's as scary as y'all say she is \[...\]" MOTHERF@#$%^, SHE JUST KILLED A BUNCH OF PEOPLE AND SHE'S LITERALLY IMMORTAL (that we know of so far), WHAT THE !@#$ IS YOUR MALFUNCTION, HMM?! IS IT "GOD"?
Who wrote this shit?
"See? Even the bleeding-heart liberal agrees with me!"
I have no problem with the little jab, but again, who wrote this shit?
It's a comic, so someone wrote this shit in comic form, then someone else read this shit and decided to adapt it to TV, and didn't stop to think "This is absolutely stupid, innit?"
Bruh. Just no.
