At 91, Hellyette Bess is a libertarian activist who is still active. Nadia Genet walks alongside Hellyette, gradually revealing her humanist vision to us. Through her story and that of her fellow travelers, we sense the generosity of a woman who is modest, cultured, complex, driven by friendship, generosity, and fidelity to her principles in life. Following in her footsteps, we encounter the fates of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah (a Lebanese communist activist, imprisoned in France since 1984) and of Jean-Marc Rouillan (Action Directe), whom Hellyette regularly visited in prison, whatever their political differences, ceaselessly exploring the many shades of color that make up the black flag of anarchism.
