Clifford Carwood “Lip” Lipton (January 30, 1920 – December 16, 2001) was an American Army officer and World War II veteran. He served with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, rising from private to company first sergeant before receiving a battlefield commission as a second lieutenant. Born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, Lipton enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1942 and volunteered for the airborne forces.
